Last night up to 30 local campaigners in Harlow attended a Stand Up To UKIP launch meeting. The meeting was attended by local councillors, trade unionists, students, socialists and a parliamentary candidate for the town.
Speakers at the meeting discussed the threat of UKIP both in terms of their anti-working class and anti-immigrant rhetoric. The meeting called for a day of action against UKIP in the town on Saturday 7th February from 11am.
